A double award
This year, Laguiole en Aubrac won two awards at the IWA Outdoor Classics international trade fair, a must-attend event for outdoor and cutlery professionals in Nuremberg. This is a first in the history of the trade fair.
Inspired by the Art Deco style,
the knife particularly impressed the jury and the public.
The Gatsby won 1st prize in the “Folding Knives” category and also received the “Visitors’ Favorite Knife” award. A double distinction that highlights both the technical quality of the piece and its strong appeal among enthusiasts.
Behind this creation is Anthony, one of the workshop’s young cutlers. Crafted with precision and high standards, the GATSBY reflects his dedication and steady progress. Over the years, he has refined his craft through the transmission and shared experience of his elders. This intergenerational dynamic, deeply rooted in the DNA of Laguiole en Aubrac, allows each talent to emerge and fully express themselves.
This double award celebrates much more than a knife: it honors a team spirit, a shared passion, and a living artisanal savoir-faire. For Laguiole en Aubrac, this international recognition confirms that the combination of tradition, innovation, and collective work remains the key to lasting success.
