Saphores Cutlery is steeped in history, established in the middle of the last century in 1955! The establishment is located in the center of Bordeaux, between the Saint-Seurin district and Place Gambetta. Saphores Cutlery is primarily known as the creator of the city knife: the Bordelais, crafted in the workshop of the boutique. Fully assembled with screws, without rivets, the Bordelais is a lightweight and smooth-operating knife available in two different ranges: the first, ‘Classic’, featuring a spring with forced notch and a 12C27 blade; the second, ‘Luxury’, with Titanium plates, liner, and MOX27CO blades.
Béatrice and Louis welcome you to Saphores in an authentic and warm atmosphere to share their expertise and the traditions of Laguiole knives. Whether for yourself or as a gift, the cutlery offers a wide range of products across our different categories: folding knives, wine accessories, tabletop art, and kitchenware with many other brands known for the quality of their products: KAI, Zwilling, Opinel, Horl, Victorinox among many others.

Farfalli

Founded in 1950 by Marino FARFALLI, in the 70s, corkscrew manufacturing became the main activity of the company. Farfalli is always looking for new models, of the highest quality, with the use of innovative materials such as aluminum, carbon fiber or titanium. The company always keep the production process monitored, from the purchase and selection of raw material to the design of the dies, to the assembly system and to the finish of the corkscrew, in order to always guarantee the quality of the final product. The search for new solutions to facilitate the uncorking operation has lead to the development of two important levers systems patented: the dual-axis mechanism and a double lever system.

Kai

KAI Japanese knives are among the finest references in the culinary world. The brand's products boast a unique reputation and enjoy a status as cult objects. Founded in 1908 in Seki, one of the world's three major cutlery centers, KAI develops cutlery products based on a tradition dating back over a century. KAI products are characterized by their perfect sharpness and long lifespan, an exemplary quality rooted in Japanese culture and the art of samurai sword forging.

Horl

The story of the German brand HORL begins with a simple yet ambitious idea. Otmar and Timo, father and son, decide to create a new concept of a rolling sharpener. The family business thus enters the world of cutlery in 2016 with the launch of the first generation of HORL sharpeners. Located at the foot of the Black Forest, in the city of Freiburg im Breisgau, the HORL company manufactures these sharpeners with the utmost care: from the selection of materials to the final assembly, including engraving. The brand's ambition is above all to offer a unique experience to its customers and to become an integral part of kitchens worldwide.

Peugeot Saveurs

Peugeot mills are iconic and renowned worldwide in the realm of tableware! The Peugeot adventure began in the 19th century in Doubs, France and the brand's numerous inventions have always kept it at the forefront of innovation. Driven by its heritage and expertise, Peugeot products grace the tables of the finest chefs. The design, technical development, and manufacturing are entirely carried out in France at their Franc-Comtois factory.

Opinel

The Opinel company is located in the heart of the Alps in Chambéry. The adventure began in 1890 when Joseph Opinel invented the pocket knife that bears his name today. The Opinel is recognized as an essential folding knife, simple, functional, and clever, used for everyday activities. The Opinel brand has developed for over 130 years around different ranges of pocket knives for DIY, gardening, outdoor activities, as well as knives dedicated to tableware and kitchen use.

Victorinox

The brand was born in 1884 when Karl Elsener opened his cutlery workshop in Ibach, Switzerland. Today, Victorinox is an international company driven by strong values: innovation, design, and functionality. The company is recognized worldwide for its iconic product: the Swiss Army knife. Offering maximum functionality in a minimal format, it is an essential accessory for adventurers and a faithful travel companion. Victorinox also offers a range of knives and accessories in the realm of tableware and kitchen.

Sauveterre

Founded in 1241, Sauveterre de Rouergue is a magnificent Royal Bastide from the 13th century located in the heart of Aveyron. In 1456, by royal decision, the village became an important center for cutlery. However, during the 16th century, the activity eventually ceased due to religious wars and coal shortages. In 1997, for the needs of the telefilm "La clé des champs" by Antenne 3, the Sauveterre knife was created. Its design is largely inspired by the original Laguiole knife: the Laguiole Droit. Made entirely by hand, it features the emblem of the Sauveterre village: the sage leaf. At the level of the knife's fly, between the blade and the spring, the cutlers create a beautiful handcarving to reveal an elegant sage leaf. In the Sauveterre knife collection, you will find two folding knives in 9 and 11cm, beautiful table knives, and a bread knife. Since 2007, the cutlery has also been producing a new model: the Camembert with astonishing packaging, befitting the name of the knife!

Auzier

Based in Hérault in the South of France, the designer Benjamin Auzier specializes in crafting Mediterranean knives, with his flagship product being the "Petit Jouteur." This modern and design oyster knife is inspired by the know-how and traditions of oyster farmers in the Thau Basin. The ‘Petit Jouteur’ is designed to provide a comfortable grip for both left and right-handed users. Its original drop-shaped form, balanced and symmetrical, with a length of 12 centimeters, adapts to all hand sizes. Its ergonomic design, combined with the sturdy handle made of wood or shell, makes it very practical to use.

Rösle

Founded in 1888 in the Allgäu region in southern Germany, RÖSLE has specialized in the manufacture of stainless steel kitchen utensils. RÖSLE's success is built on its values: an innovative, persevering, and environmentally respectful brand. The company has managed to appeal to both professionals and individuals by offering a true experience. Its motto: "Love, Cook, Live."

Zwilling

Fondée en 1731 à Solingen, en Allemagne, Zwilling a hérité d'une tradition artisanale dans la fabrication d'articles de cuisine de haute qualité.
